Article I: Name and Purpose¶

I.1: Name¶

• The name of this organization shall be Rose-Hulman MakerLab.
• The organization may also be referred to as MakerLab, the Lab, Rose MakerLab, and Maker.
• The SGA shorthand name for the organization shall be Maker.

I.2: Purpose¶

MakerLab exists as a student organization to:

• Provide and maintain a student-run workspace where students may pursue their personal projects, independent study projects, and partner projects.
• Develop an environment with basic tools, materials, and knowledge readily available for students to implement their ideas.
• Provide the necessary training and certification in the proper use of tools available in the Lab.
• Serve as a resource to similarly aligned partner clubs
